I HEAR DEAD PEOPLE

Part of the fun of working the graveyard hours is the company I keep. Richard Diamond, Philip Marlowe, Jack Benny, and a host of other OTR (that's Old Time Radio, for the uninitiated) characters that once entertained America. Sure, OTR was before my time... mostly... well, actually, they still played OTR reruns when I was a kid in the seventies. I recall listening to a few thrillers or mysteries that occasionally popped up on the radio while dialing through AM stations (for some reason, it seemed as though the AM band was more popular than FM when I was a kid). I had one of those little transistor radios with the single earplug that reminded me of a hearing-aid, and, after a short time in a kid's ear, collected more wax than a bee-hive. Nowadays one can subscribe to OTR podcasts and listen to this stuff to one's heart's content. Sure, it can get cheesy sometimes, but there's some great stuff also. Radio stars may be long dead, but they live to entertain again every night when I sit down to work. I guess they're sort of like 'Zombies of Radio'. 

Rough Doodle

redraw it and color it. This is just to give you an idea of how an
idea first starts out.
